Lynn joined the DeKalb Health team in 2009, and brought with her more than 20 years of experience. As part of Garrett Family Medicine, she provides support to Dr. Bret Kueber.
Lynn has earned numerous degrees and certifications, including a nursing diploma from Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Fort Wayne, Indiana; a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Purdue University – Fort Wayne; a Master of Arts in counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia; and most recently, a Master of Science in nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from University of St. Francis, also in Fort Wayne.
In addition to her academic achievements, Lynn has garnered a breadth of direct care experience in specializations including home health care, behavioral health, geropsychiatry, assessment teams and intensive outpatient programs.
Lynn began her career as an alcohol/drug abuse counselor at Northeastern Center in Auburn, followed by staff nursing positions in behavioral units at McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville, IN and Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She returned to McCray Memorial Hospital to serve as clinical nurse manager of its behavioral health unit, followed by additional RN experiences at Lutheran Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Volunteerism is key to Lynn’s continuing education efforts. She has traveled to Haiti as part of a medical mission team that operates an outpatient clinic for the country’s indigent, and here at home, Lynn has also donated pro bono patient care at St. Martin’s Clinic in Garrett, Indiana.
