Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Basic Life Support (BLS)for Healthcare Provider is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
What Credentials Will I Receive? Upon successful completion of a course, each participant will be issued an American Heart Association E-card certificate verifying they have successfully completed the course. The recognition period is two years for AHA courses.
*This course is designed for Healthcare Providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, dental assistants, and other allied health personnel.
Offered the third Wednesday of every month.
